How to Do the Side Chest Pose
Many skills and details go into properly executing the side chest pose. Here are four steps to help you strike a beautiful side chest using the right side as the display side:
Start by slightly bending your left knee with the left foot on the ground. Lift your right heel and stand on your toes while bending your right knee. Your toes should be in the middle of your left foot. Move your right leg in front of your left leg and push the two legs together, then flex your quads and glutes. This creates a sweep on your front and back leg.
Grab your right arm at the wrist, pull your right arm back, and flex and squeeze the arm into the side of your body and lats. Elevate your chest and tense it.
Choose to flex your abs or expand the ribcage depending on presentation.
Rotate your torso modestly to the right side, keeping your legs the same, creating thickness and muscularity.
