    The Abs and Thigh pose is perhaps the best pose to display aesthetics and symmetry in bodybuilding, the abs and thigh pose puts heavy emphasis on the poser’s core in terms of the 6-pack action and how tiny it is. With booming lats and flaring quads, this pose showcases the broad shoulders and big legs all tied into a well-defined midsection. Bodybuilders like Shawn Ray, Lee Priest, and Chris Cormier are exemplary posers when it comes to the abs and thigh.

    How to Do the Abs and Thigh Pose

    There are many ways and variations someone might use to hit the abs and thigh pose, depending on their personal flair. Frank Zane and Chris Bumstead are famous for their stomach vacuums, which require excellent core control and practice. For a standard abs and thigh pose, here are two simple steps to help you.

    1. Starting from the lower body, stand with feet relatively close to each other or in a staggered position. Toes and knees should be pointing outward with your quads pushed out for a nice sweep. Remember to flex your calves.

    2. Raise your arms up and put your hands behind your head, exhale, and tighten your core to flex your abs.
